FUNCTION: We are looking for market & business development officers for our organisation. As a market & business development officer, you will be a part of our intelligent and growing team of cybersecurity professionals. You will identify new clients and business opportunities, maintain relationships with existing clients, and promote our businesses with creative ideas. You will work collaboratively with the team on business growth strategy and devising an actionable plan with business goals and objectives. You will write and present business proposals to potential clients. You will support project owners in project planning and implementation, as well as follow local and international trends across all sectors and markets. You will be digitally savvy and thrive on delivering strong results to tight deadlines. You will determine your training program in consultation with your manager. We offer a wide variety of internal training as well as frequently chosen training such as Certified Scrum Master, ITIL, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, AgilePM, TOGAF, and PMP.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A strong background in business analysis or development
• Experience in client and business management
• Research and identify new clients, business, and market opportunities
• Present services or products to clients and work with them to strategize and improve the material according to their needs, as well as map business strengths and their needs
• Strong understanding of client’s needs and business development strategies and concepts
• Build brand awareness through various outlets such as media outlets
• Write and present business proposals, and provide specialist advice on services or products
• Plan sales and advertising campaigns, and increase client base
• Collect and analyse market research data
• Identify potential markets and test them extensively
• Customer onboarding and stakeholders’ relationship management
• Work within various multimedia outlets to promote a service or product
• Creating and managing social media paid ads, Creating engaging social media feeds
• Basic knowledge in industry security practices (such as OWASP) and cybersecurity regulations (such as GDPR and NGPR)
• Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity occurrences, market strategies, technologies, best practices, and potential client’s preferences
• Interest in cybersecurity and related industry regulations, as well as emerging technologies
• Strong presentation, teamwork, interpersonal, and time management skills
• Support development of cybersecurity education newsletter – learning and development
• Create actionable plans to grow the number of clients and services
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening), as well as articulating security news to the cybersecurity team
• Ability to work under pressure of time and ambition for self-development

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A tertiary qualification
• Industry certifications like Certified Scrum Master, ITIL, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, AgilePM, TOGAF, and PMP. Business or marketing certifications are added advantage
• Expert in Microsoft Office applications and business analysis tools
• Experience in Microsoft SharePoint and Teams, as well as Adobe suites
• Business analysis and development experience for IT services or products are advantageous

Experience in one or more of the following sectors is an added advantage – IT, Telecoms, Banking & Financial Services, Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Government, Retail, and Aviation (Experience level: Mid-level; Experience length: 1+ year)
